Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge follows the global fight fans offered condolences for the fighter in the wake of the devastating accident.
